Brief Biography: Born September 14th, 1950, son of Howard & Vera Jaech, Dale was baptized, schooled, and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church (WELS) of Wonewoc, WI. After attending Martin Luther Academy in New Ulm MN and MSU in Mankato, Dale served a Naval enlistment from '70-'74. After several jobs, including AAL representative, he returned to Naval service in '81, until '93. His occupations have included salesman, restaurant manager, marine navigator, drug and alcohol counselor, instructor and lecturer, and long-haul trucker. Dale's wife Rebecca and their pastor at Reformation Lutheran (ELS) in Hillsboro, OR encouraged his study for the ministry. In 2001, at 50 years of age, Dale returned to school. He earned a BA in theological studies at Concordia University, Portland OR in 2003, before entering Bethany Lutheran Theological Seminary. Dale and Becky's three children and other family members are spread from Ohio to Wisconsin, Colorado, California and Oregon. They have 5 grandchildren, one of whom, Meghan, has lived with them since 2004. Dale served his vicarage at Bethany Lutheran Church and School of Port Orchard, WA, under Pastor Tony Pittenger, and graduated from BLTS in 2007. He served as pastor of Faith Lutheran Church in Hillman, MI, from November 2007 until November 2009, when he was called to serve Our Savior’s in Hawley and Calvary Lutheran Church in Ulen.. He and Rebecca enjoy traveling, camping, long walks on beaches, and sailing.
